With the theme “Data Regulatory Policy Landscape in Vietnam", Ms. Tuyết provided an updated perspective on the country’s evolving approach to data management and regulation, highlighting emerging trends and new policies that are shaping Vietnam's data market.

According to Ms. Tuyết, Vietnam is gradually developing its legal framework on data with notable efforts to establish a regulatory environment that aligns with international practices. This progress aims to lay an attractive foundation for strategic investment in data and digital technology sectors. These improvements not only open new development opportunities for tech enterprises but also introduce new compliance requirements—especially concerning cross-border data sharing and information security.

For the business community, several positive developments are unfolding, such as the completion of a legal framework for data-related business, the implementation of a controlled sandbox mechanism for new services, and the potential growth of personal data protection services and data protection credit rating models—promising new and dynamic market sectors. These advancements could serve as a crucial platform for both domestic and international enterprises to pilot data-driven business models in Vietnam.

This event marks the fourth consecutive year that IPS has participated in AODP, underscoring the institute's ongoing commitment to contributing to regional and international data policy dialogues.
