The talk featured speakers representing the academia and business sectors:
- Mr. Nguyen Quang Dong, Director of the Institute for Policy Studies and Media Development;
- Mr. Tran Huu Nhan, Data Engineer and Machine Learning Specialist at One Mount Group Joint Stock Company;
- Mr. Huynh Thien Tu, Lecturer at University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City;
- Ms. Nguyen Lan Phuong, Policy Analyst at the Institute for Policy Studies and Media Development.
In addition, the talk was attended by delegates from government agencies, tertiary education institutions, non-governmental organizations, as well as journalists and reporters from various media organizations.
To kick off the talk, Mr. Tran Huu Nhan and Ms. Nguyen Lan Phuong delivered presentations on the relationship between artificial intelligence technology and individual privacy rights, as well as privacy protection policies in Vietnam.
The subsequent discussion was lively, with numerous questions directed at the speakers regarding issues such as: (1) the impact of AI technology on the processing of personal data in the fields of healthcare, education, and journalism, (2) ethical principles and legal regulations concerning the use of artificial intelligence technology for processing personal data, (3) the roles of the State and private entities in protecting personal data.
